AFC 1500 Identification

The AFC1500 system has two basic configurations.  The stand alone SAN Unit version or the Multi Unit version.  The main difference is that the Multi version uses a Multi Unit to control all connected spindles while the stand alone version must be individually controlled. (this is ideal for low cost, low quantity applications)

AFC 1500 Multi System

There are two methods to identify the Firmware being used in the AFC 1500 Multi System.  You can identify it using the AFC Software or by Visually inspecting the chips in the Multi and looking at the display on the front of the SAN Unit (The SAN Unit does not contain removable Firmware ROMs.  The Firmware is uploaded to Flash ROM via a "Quickload" adapter).

There are two methods to identify the software being used in the AFC 1500 SAN Unit (both Independent & Multi version are identified the same).  You can identify it using the AFC Software or by Visually Inspecting the display on the front of the SAN Unit.
