AFC1200 Processor/RDisk Location

On the AFC1200 386 Main Unit you can remove the middle board of the unit by removing two small Philips screws.  This is the Processor/RDisk (ROM Disk) Board.    (Example shown below.)

Below you can see the FC386 board removed from the Chassis.  Note that the three Rdisk EEPROM Firmware Chips are located on a daughter-board that fits on the main CPU board.  These chips are labeled with their version number.

You can also Identify the version that is running in any Main Unit by viewing the CRT screen when you power up the AFC1200 System.  The Firmware version number will be displayed at the bottom of the blue FEC boot screen.
