There are three methods to identify the
Firmware version which is running in the AFC1100 Axis Unit. One
method is using the
AFC
Software (from the "Axis" pulldown menu, click on "Axis Software Version" and follow
directions)
Another is to place the unit into
Bypass using the bypass switch on the front of the unit. Depress
the Data up button until D-NO = 01. The Firmware version is
displayed in the DATA area shown below as version 2.24.
The Final method is to read the version number off the EEPROM tag. the
EEPROM is located on the left side of the unit. Newer units have a
window cutout in the cover and can be read without removing the
cover. Older units do not have a access window and may need the
cover removed as shown below. The Firmware EEPROM is the
rectangular socketed chip with the white tag located closer to the top
of this picture.
