Why am I getting a 'sub command error' displayed on the CRT?

This is generated when the number of spindles in the Machine configuration does not match the number of spindles actually connected.
Go to the "Machine Configuration" pull down menu and confirm the configuration is correct.  Be sure there are no additional spindles selected in the machine configuration screen. See also Section (9.2.1) of the manual.
