Part & Tool SetupSetup of press parameters as well as part specific specifications are done using the Parameter set-up screens in the DSP software. The following are examples of a few of the press parameter set-up screens.Control Set-up Press process parameters are set-up using the Control set-up screen. The graphical format allows the user to visualize each parameter and it's use providing quick & easy set-up. (Alternatively, the parameters can also be set-up in a spreadsheet format if preferred) Interference Check Set-up Interference or detection of abnormal foreign substances or material along the press path are highly desirable in order to protect valuable parts & tooling prior to extensive damage. Part Check Set-up A preliminary "check" used to verify the condition of the part before the final pressing stage occurs. This check allows for detection of missing parts, bad alignment, out of tolerance parts, etc. before the parts are assembled completely. Band Check Set-up This special function allows the user to define a high and low limit "band" around a known good part (load/distance) curve and use these limits for part judgment. Once defined, a part will be determined acceptable only if its curve signature falls within the set band limits
